ASCOT continues to prove its promise to offer quality education as manifested in its success in terms of human capacity building as its Bachelor of Elementary Education Graduates Batch 2016 posted 100% passing rate with one of its Cum Laude graduate landing to Top 6. Teacher Rovelyn Lesma Lejano, garnered a rating of 87%, giving a remarkable leap for the college to maintain its excellent performance. With only 23, 378 elementary teachers out of 77,466 examinees who passed the September 2016 Licensure Examination for Teachers ASCOT is very proud for the 94.44% passing rate against the national passing rate of 30.18%. ASCOT Produces New Civil Engineers
Congratulations to the new ASCOTian Civil Engineers for passing the November 2016 Civil Engineer Licensure Examination administered by the Professional Regulation Commission last November 12-13, 2016. ASCOT BSCE Batch 2016 posted a 51.43% passing rate while the overall performance including the re-takers is 45.65%, 15.65% higher compared to the last year’s performance rating. The result shows that ASCOT is really fulfilling its mission on providing quality education addressing the society’s increasing demand for highly competent graduates. ASCOT Teacher Education Graduates Performance in LET 2015
Institutional performance above the national passing rate was posted in the September 2015 Licensure Examination for Professional Teacher. Fifteen of the sixteen BEED examinees successfully passed the examination giving ASCOT a 93.75% performance rating for the Elementary Education, a rating higher compared to the 31.36% National Passing Average. While the BSED graduates reaped a 47.73% passing rate against the 41.75% National Passing Average with twenty-one passers, seventeen of which are BSED graduates and four are CPE graduates. ASCOT Applauds New Fisheries Technologist Licensure Examination Passer
With much joy and pride, ASCOT congratulates Ms. Rachel Icawat Fenis for passing the October 2015 Fisheries Technologist Licensure Examination administered by the PRC in the cities of Manila, Davao, and Iloilo. Ms. Fenis was among the 366 passers out of the 1,014 examinees who hurdled the examination given by the Board of Fisheries last October 21-22, 2015, posting ASCOT a passing percentage of 12.50% against the 36% national passing rate. The result shows that ASCOT is making its way to contribute to the number of quality Fisheries Technologist all over the country.
ASCOT Graduates Pass September 2015 Electrical Engineer Licensure Examination

ASCOT Feats in Licensure Examinations
Aurora State College of Technology has again produced new professionals based on the latest results of various licensure examinations released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) for the months of March, April, May and June. Institutional Performance above the national passing rate was posted in the May 2015 Civil Engineer Licensure Examination and March 2015 Licensure Examination for Professional Teacher where ASCOT got a passing rate of 66.67% against the 31.57% national passing rate and 33.33% over the 31.63% national passing rate respectively. In the recently released results of the June 2015 Agriculturist Licensure Examination, three new Licensed Agriculturists from the Department of Agriculture and Aquatic Sciences was included in the list of passers, they are Joselle Calara Dela Torre, Roosevelt Viernes Espineli, Rommel Lomboy Picart and Ma. Anthonete Alegre.
ASCOT OFFICIALS ATTEND THE 28TH AACCUP ANNUAL NATIONAL CONFERENCE
ASCOT OIC President, Dr. Evi Q. Fontanos together with the other College Officials, Dr. Eusebio V. Angara, Dr. Silvestre C. Escueta and Dr. Ma Luz F. Cabatan, attended the 28th AACCUP Annual National Conference that was held on February 16-18, 2015 at the Manila Hotel, One Rizal Park, Manila. Assessing the Initial Gains of Outcomes-Based Quality Assurance Program: Response to ASEAN 2015 Quest for Quality was the theme of this year’s conference, the objectives of which include making the participants fully assessed and learned from the initial exposure with Outcomes-Based Quality Assurance, deepen the knowledge and practice of outcomes-based accreditation through exposure to national and international experts and appraise the current achievements and redirected future plans of AACCUP with 2015 as a transition year to shift from input-process focus to the evaluation of results as indicator of quality. The event was graced by Hon. Patricia B. Licuanan, Chairperson, Commission on Higher Education and was enlivened up by the presence of Sen. Pia S. Cayetano, Chairperson, Committee on Education, Arts and Culture. Several topics were discussed and supplemented with workshops in plenary sessions. Dr. Maria Cynthia Rose B. Bautista, CHED Commissioner talked on the Assessment of the Progress of Implementation of the CHED-sponsored Outcomes-Based Quality Assurance Framework. Dr. Rupert Sangalang, CHED Commissioner and Former AACCUP President opened the Second Day on his informative discussion on CHED Policies Affecting Institutional and Program Accreditation in SUCs. His talked focused on CHED policies that are important to both institutional and program accreditation of State Universities and Colleges. Meanwhile, the Challenges of Internal, External and Internationalization of QA: Imperatives of AACCUP Response were discussed by Dr. Manuel T. Corpus, Founding President and Executive Director of AACCUP. A Panel Discussion on Challenges and Lessons Learned from the Initial Stages of Implementation of the Outcomes-Based-Quality Assurance was also conducted, with Dr. Manuel T. Corpus as the Panel Chair. The AACCUP General Assembly and Business Meeting and Election of 2015-2017 AACCUP Board of Trustees were also held at the conference.
ASCOT’s New Foresters
The College congratulates the 14 new Foresters from ASCOT produced from the recently conducted Forester Licensure Examination given by the Board for Foresters in Manila and Davao held last July 14 and 15, 2014. ASCOT had a performance rate of 20.59%, 4.9% higher compared to the last year’s passing percentage. Also, ASCOT is one of the Colleges with the highest number of examinees in the country with a total of 68 examinees, including 52 first timers and 16 repeaters. Kudos to the new Foresters!
Department of Engineering Continues its Excellence in Recent Board Exam
ASCOT Engineering graduates once again registered a high passing percentage of 60% in the recent September 2013 Mechanical Engineer Licensure Examination. Engr. Angelo Valdez Alisoso, Engr. Mark Pagal Marfil, and Engr. Marvin Ibarra Talavera, all from Batch 2013 were among the 2201 new Licensed Engineers produced by the Mechanical Engineer Licensure Examination administered last September 22-23, 2013. ASCOT’s excellent performances in Licensure Examination were testaments of the hard work and common goal of every ASCOTian in building a promising future through excellence in education.
New Electrical Engineers for ASCOT in September 2013 Board Exam
The Department of Engineering continues its excellent performance in the licensure examination as shown in the result of the September 2013 Electrical Engineer Licensure Examinations where the College got a 20% passing rate. Engr. Andrew Gutierrez Nortez and Engr. Andrei Kristoffer Tan Querijero were the new additions to ASCOT roster of successful graduates. The two new Engineers from Batch 2013 were among the 1643 passer out of the 3,063 examinees who took the exam given by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) last September 7-8, 2013 in several cities around the country.
