Seven faculty from the Hospitality and Tourism Management programs of Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT) visited establishments in Batangas, Cavite, and Manila. Their goals are to have familiarization/destination tours and establish external linkages for the hospitality and tourism programs in the college. This benchmarking was last Dec. 07-10.

Among the establishments that they have visited are Gunita Villas and Pavilion in Batangas, Trece de Fortaleza in Cavite, Lido De Paris Hotel, Ramada Hotel, Century Park Hotel Manila, Rizal Park Hotel, Uno Seafood Wharf Palace, Shatin Seafood Restaurant, and National Museum (Anthropology, Fine Arts, National History) in Manila.

The faculty reached out to several establishments and educational institutions before this benchmarking. The faculty was able to visit several establishments. They were not able to visit some establishments and educational institutions as they cited the pandemic and tight schedules—busy December. However, there were educational institutions that offered to have a virtual benchmarking next year, 2022. This excites the HTM faculty.

This benchmarking was made possible by the efforts of the faculty, the guidance of DAS Director Zenaida A. Exclamado, and the assistance of Sir Antonelle Albano. Health protocols were strictly followed.
