Thanks to the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (PDRRMO) headed by Engr. Amado Elson Egargue, who has provided a permit to travel and has authorized ASCOT Director for Student Services, Von Gerald D. Macose, to deliver the students and faculty who were stranded at ASCOT Zabali Campus and those living in boarding houses nearby ASCOT to their respective homes.

Two ASCOT vans were utilized to deliver the students to their own homes mostly in DICADI area. And, to comply with the directive of the government and health authorities to practice “physical distancing”, the students were seated a seat apart in order to avoid possible infectivity of any virus.

Director Macose was a witness to the joy that could not be contained in the parents’ eyes seeing their sons and daughters arrive home safely. A student was likewise reported to have walked home to Casiguran just to be with his family during the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) period. – Araceli Bitancor
