The bidding for the completion phase of the project, “Construction of Three-Storey ASCOT Hostel at Zabali Campus” was participated by four construction firms. The winning bidder, MBM Construction and Supply, having the lowest calculated and responsive bid was a first time
participating bidder in ASCOT biddings. Its owner-manager, Maricel M. Suminig of Purok 5, Brgy. Dimaseset, Dilasag, Aurora, was awarded the contract at the bid price of ?20,133,017.83 from the Approved Budget for the Contract (ABC) of ?21,459,571.14.

The Notice to Proceed (NTP) was issued on December 23, 2019, but work was temporarily suspended due to some technical problems encountered in the Phase 1 of the project that resulted to two-months delay in the completion phase. MBM Construction and Supply was supposed to execute the contract in March 2020 but the implementation of the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) due to COVID-19 pandemic had caused another delay in its operation.

With the lifting of the ECQ and imposing the General Community Quarantine (GCQ) in Aurora Province, the construction project is now scheduled to commence any day in June 2020 and is expected to be completed within 300 calendar days.
