The Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT) received a generous donation of Audio and IT Equipment from award-winning, professional sound engineer Ronald De Asis. The Deed of Donation was officially signed on April 22, 2024, at the ASCOT accreditation hall.

During the ceremony, ASCOT President Renato G. Reyes expressed his appreciation, highlighting the importance of the equipment in promoting ASCOT globally and producing local-centric promotional videos. “Ang gusto natin ay magkaroon tayo ng dalawa hanggang tatlong masterpiece na magpapakita ng locals, local culture, language ng mga taga dito sa Aurora.”
The signing ceremony was attended by key figures including ASCOT President Renato G. Reyes, Dr. Oscar C. Barawid, Vice President for Administration, Planning, and Finance, Dr. Ma. Luz F. Cabatan, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Engr. Ravenal De Jesus, DICT Aurora Provincial Head, and the generous donor, Sound Engineer Ronald De Asis. Witnesses to the occasion included Filmaker, RTV Station Manager Rommel G. Espinosa, Godfrey Gudoy, Head of the Information and Communications Technology Unit, and Joseph T. Gonzales, Board Secretary V/ Director- International, External, and Alumni Affairs.

Following the signing, ASCOT organized a two-day Workshop on Sound and Audio Post-Production and Basic Filmmaking. Director Rommel G. Espinosa , Sound Engineer Ronald De Asis and Ms. Carmela De Asis shared their expertise, providing attendees with valuable insights and hands-on experience in various aspects of film production, sound editing, and post-production.
