ASCOT has received the Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) from CHED to offer Bachelor of Arts in Political Science Effective Academic Year 2022-2023.

The BA in Political Science course serves as a preparatory for the upcoming Bachelor of Laws program at ASCOT. According to the Vice President for Academic Affairs RB J. Gallego, Ph.D., the subjects to be offered under the course are the following: Introduction to Philippine Politics and Governance, Fundamentals of Political Science, Philippine Public Administration, Politics and Governance in Southeast Asia, Introduction to Political Theory, Introduction to Comparative Politics, Introduction to International Relations, Introduction to Political Analysis and Research, Introduction to Qualitative a. The Philippine Executive, Philippine Legislature, Philippine Judiciary, and International Laws will all be available as additional electives. Introduction to Law and Legal Reasoning are free electives. The above subjects must be taken, apart from the General Education (GE) subjects.

“There won’t be a limit to the number of enrollees, but there are qualifications to get in. Admission to the program will only be based on an interview and grade evaluation.”, said Dr. Rowel G. Olila, the Director of the Liberal Arts Department.

The Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) recognizes that the specific degree programs offered by SUCs/LUCs are fully compliant with the policies, standards, and guidelines of CHED.
