From a communication letter released by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Regional Office III last April 25, the commission already approved the ASCOT’s request to offer Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSED) Major in Social Studies.

The College will offer the said new specialization in its Education program effective August 2022 after it successfully met the requirements such as enough faculty lineup/roster, relevant library holdings, and proposed curriculum.

In a Facebook post, College President Dr. Eutiquio L. Rotaquio, Jr. congratulated the Education Department Director, Dr. Rowel G.Olila, and the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. RB J. Gallego for the said achievement. He also said that this course will prepare those who wanted to become excellent historians in the future.
