Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT) and several other higher education institutions (HEIs) from region III have converged for an executive session on internationalization at Hotel Seoul in Clark Freeport Zone. Themed “Start Up, Row Forward. Soar High,” this event spans from October 19 to 20, 2023, promising a dynamic platform for insightful discussions and knowledge exchange. Participants have the privilege of gaining wisdom from experts Dr. Rhodora dela Rosa and Dr. Lorenz Fajardo, both distinguished scholars from Central Luzon State University.

In attendance are SUC Presidents, Vice Presidents for Academic Affairs, and Focal Persons of Internationalization from these esteemed institutions.

The event kicked off with a warm welcome by Ms. Lora L. Yusi, the CHED OIC Regional Director, and ASCOT OIC President. Notably, Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT) is strongly represented at the event by its own delegates, James Mathew Viernes from the Quality Assurance Office and Kristine Somera from the Planning Unit.

The forum encompasses discussions on a range of topics related to internationalization, including the practices in Region III HEIs, the global impact of universities, and the prestigious QS World University Ranking. These conversations are poised to foster collaboration and innovation, enhancing the internationalization efforts of the participating HEIs.

The second day of the event was dedicated to crafting internationalization plans and reaffirming the commitment of the participants to these plans. HEIs discussed their strategies for making their institutions more global and furthering their dedication to international initiatives.
