Starting the year with right outlook, the College hold a special and significant workshop on Gender Perspectives in Higher Education with Guest Speaker, Ms Carolyn Medel-Añonuevo, Deputy Director of UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning, last January 4, 2018 at the ASCOT Gymnasium.

The workshop featured activities and learning interactions that were centered on Gender Perspectives in Higher Education. Ms Carolyn Medel-Añonuevo shared with the members of the ASCOT Faculty and Staff her expertise and talked about the Gender Concerns in Higher Education. She provided them with background of frameworks, guidelines, practical examples and best practices in achieving gender equality in education.

Her encouragement was strong, that as members of the academe, we must plan and conduct education, training and exercises with an integrated gender perspective that promotes gender equality.
