ASCOTians!
As part of our program’s aim to help ASCOTians decide on who to vote for the two of the highest positions in the College’s student body organization, two of the candidates for the position of SCSC President and the candidates for Executive Vice President served as our guests for today’s episode of ASCOT ‘TO (Todo-Todo) at 92.1 FM RTV Baler!
The Presidential candidates include Mr. Justin Jade Leones (UNILEAD Party) and Mr. Vencer Lejano (Independent). The Executive Vice Presidential candidates include Mr. Christian Frey Tangson (UNILEAD Party) and Ms. Aira Geelyn Sollegue (LIFE Party).
In our program’s Episode 40, entitled “Ikaw na Ba?”, our guests informed our listeners about the platforms and programs they want to initiate and implement for the welfare of the College’s students. Some of their platforms include conducting outreach programs, giving assistance to ASCOTians, organizing college-wide events, environmental beautification, and many more.
The candidates also answered questions regarding some relevant issues concerning ASCOT students. They also stated their stands on some matters, including their views on the proposal to make ROTC mandatory, having a common uniform for all ASCOTians, the compressing of days consumed for the annual College and Department activities, and the readiness of College in conducting big events such as Acquaintance Party, Foundation Day, and Intramurals in the new normal.
