The ASCOT Faculty and Staff Multipurpose Cooperative (AFSMPC) recently held its 11th General Assembly Meeting last March 22, 2013.

The program started with an inspirational talk from Mrs. Gemma B. Villareal, Municipal Accountant and the General Manager of Lingap Baler, one of the most successful cooperative in the province.
She pointed out fairness, accountability, and transparency as key components in determining the Cooperative’s success.She also added the importance of social responsibility in managing the cooperative
as she shares the story behind the success of Lingap Baler.

Presentations of Committee Reports followed as For. RB J. Gallego discussed the findings of the Audit Committee while Prof. Rufina Talavera presented the consolidated report of the Credit Committee.

Manager Loreto H. Barrogo also presented his report from which the current AFSMPC Financial status was mentioned. In addition, Chairman Rafaelito Minoza brought the news to the members on his discussion
of the AFSMPC updates.

This year’s newly elected Board of Director members include Cynthia Macose, Rafaelito Minoza, Jonah Zante and RB Gallego. Moreover, Ma. Luz Cabatan, Afed Daiwey and Shirley San Pedro were chosen for the Audit Committee. On the other hand Annie Capin, Amparo Roberta Espinosa and Lorna Babiera were also elected for the Election Committee.

The distribution of member’s dividend completed the activity.(C.Panlilio)
