Despite the pandemic that our world is facing right now, which almost changed our usual way of living and brought some uncertainties to many’s lives, this will not hinder us from celebrating the victory of our graduates.

The Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT) proved this after it virtually held its 31st Commencement Exercises with the theme, “Empowering Globally Competitive Graduates: Building a Sustainable Community Amidst the Pandemic.” via Facebook Premiere broadcasted on the College’s Official Facebook Page, April 8.

In his message as the graduation’s commencement speaker, Mayor Ariel A. De Jesus of San Luis, Aurora acknowledged the College’s effort and dedication in delivering relevant and quality education to its students and other stakeholders despite the pandemic that the world is facing today.

In addition, he also expressed his appreciation to the students and the graduates who, despite the challenges they are facing right now, especially those who lack resources to cope with the new normal education set up, are still pursuing their education and fighting for their dreams.

Moreover, Mayor De Jesus said that he admired the Instructors and faculty members of the College. He said that they are still passionate and dedicated to giving knowledge and education to their students by attending seminars and training on how they will excellently continue providing education despite the new mode of delivering instructions.

Being included in the graduates during the 1st Semester of the Academic Year 2020-2021, a total of 69 graduates from the College’s different programs, including those who took Graduate Studies which includes Master of Arts in Education Majors in Educational Management, Science Education, Guidance and Counseling, Filipino Language Teaching, Master of Science in Agriculture Major in Crop Science, Master in Management Majors in Environmental, Business, and Public Management, and Certificate in Professional Education (CPE).

In addition, the graduates are also composed of those who finished programs like Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Agriculture Majors in Animal Science and Crop Science, Forestry, Information Technology, Industrial Technology Majors in Building Construction Technology and Electrical Technology, and Certificate in Senior Electrician Course.
