Aiming to improve the delivery of e-services in the College, Sherwin B. Glorioso and Cristelita A. Panlilio, both members of the Web Development Team and Instructors from the Department of Information Technology attended the Moodle Training for Teachers Program conducted by the Nephila Web Technology Inc. and iTeach Consulting Group Inc. last May 17-18, 2013 at the Philippine Social Science Center, 1101 Commonwealth Avenue, Diliman, Quezon City.

The course entitled “e-Learning Workshop for Teachers: The Cutting Edge of Online Education” is about using 21st century skills in the classroom and aimed to provide in-depth Moodle training through discussions on the different tools, key resources and activities inside Moodle to deliver a dynamic, effective and stimulating online environment. Moodle is an open source learning management system tool used for producing and delivering internet-based courses and e-Learning sites management.

Participants were trained by Ms. Sheryl R. Villaroman, General Manager and E-Learning Administrator of Nephila Web Technology Inc. on a two-day training workshop which covered topics on the Essential Components of Moodle, Profile Settings, Course Administration, Adding Resources (Page, Label, File Linking, Media Resources), Adding Activities(Choices, Assignment, Database, Quiz, Forum, Chat, Glossary), Grade Administration and Course Management.(CPanlilio)
