The Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT) signed a Memorandum of Agreement for its partnership with the Diteki Elementary School’s Gulayan sa Paaralan Project, July 6.

Present at the said event to represent ASCOT were the College President, Dr. Eutiquio L. Rotaquio, Jr.; the Director of External Affairs, Dr. Riosahlie Y. Madrid, and the Director of the Extension and Rural Development Office, Dr. Ricardo G. Gonzales, Jr.

Representing Diteki ES were their School Principal, Ma’am Teresita Bibon, and Brgy. Councilor Allan Julian, the school’s PTCA President.

In a Facebook post, Dr. Rotaquio expressed his thanks to the school’s Principal, including their teachers and workforce, and the faculty members and staff of ASCOT Bazal.

Gulayan sa Paaralan is a program of the Department of Education (DepEd) that aims to promote food security in schools and communities, through self-help food production activities and values among the learners, and an appreciation of agriculture as a life support system (DepEd Memorandum No. 223, s. 2016).
