ASCOT Goes International: School of Engineering Faculty Jhun M. Jacinto Represents at ICECon2024 in Sabah, Malaysia

Engr. Jhun M. Jacinto, an Instructor I at the Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT) School of Engineering, has been selected to present his innovative research at the 3rd International Conference on Civil Engineering and Construction Technology (ICECon2024) in Sabah, Malaysia.

Jacinto’s paper, titled “A Review on the Combined Influence of Connection Types, Treatment, and Material Interaction in Cold-Formed Steel and Bamboo System,” explores how the combination of cold-formed steel and bamboo affects bending behavior in civil engineering. It investigates material interaction, connection types, and treatment processes, aiming to improve composite building durability and efficiency to meet global eco-friendly construction demands.
