The Philippines is currently on a huge fight against the Corona Virus Disease 19 (CoViD-19) as the disease has already spread out in the different parts of the country. The number of affected individuals including the patients under investigation (PUI) and persons under monitoring (PUM) is continuously increasing which prompted President Rodrigo Roa Duterte to put the entire Luzon under the Enhanced Community Quarantine and eventually declare the Philippines under the State of Calamity.
National agencies, local government units, public and private institutions, Civil Society Organizations, and educational institutions are implementing precautionary measures in order to contain the spread of the disease.

As part of its initiatives to contain the spread of CoViD-19, the Aurora State College of Technology also implements precautionary measures and actions. The College President, Dr. Eutiquio L. Rotaquio, Jr., issued various memoranda in accordance to CHED advisories relative to CoViD-2019. The College implements work-from-home scheme for the employees and assigned skeletal workforce to facilitate their frontline services. However, employees who serve as the skeletal workforce of the College were encouraged to wear face masks and use alcohol while working in the office.

While on community quarantine, Dr. Rotaquio calls for the employees and students of the College to strictly stay at home and limit themselves in going out unless for necessities. Through this, one can truly support the government’s intensified efforts in curbing the spread of CoViD-19.
