Dr. Silvestre C. Escueta, Professor I of the Department of Forestry and Environmental Sciences was elected the new President of the ASCOT Faculty Association in the elections held last June 09, 2016 at the ASCOT Accreditation Room.

Dr. Escueta automatically secured a seat in the ASCOT Board of Trustees as Faculty Representative. He took his oath of office last June 15, 2016 during the 83rd Regular Meeting of the ASCOT Board of Trustees at CHED Central Office, Quezon City.

He pledged to work on the implementation of the merit promotion scheme and payment of fringe benefits and overload. He also emphasized to maximize the participation of the members in the policy making concerns of the organization.
