In a celebration of grace, intelligence, and beauty, ASCOTians proudly take the crown in the Binibining Aurora 2024 pageant!

Ms. Issa Dannise De Leon, a third-year student majoring in Tourism Management from the School of Arts and Sciences, emerged victorious as the Binibining Aurora 2024, representing the municipality of Baler.

Additionally, Ms. Andrea Joy Roldan, a third-year student majoring in civil engineering at the School of Engineering, representing Maria Aurora, secured the position of second runner-up in the Binibining Aurora 2024 pageant held on February 17, 2024 at the Aurora Provincial Capitol Grounds.

De Leon utilized her platform to champion sustainable tourism practices and the preservation of the province’s natural and cultural heritage. Her eloquent responses during the question-and-answer segment not only showcased her academic prowess but also underscored her deep concern for the welfare of her community and the environment.

“Living in a coastal community here in Aurora, I have always seen the sense of helping hands and genuine generosity among people every time, and I do believe [that] as a role model, I will promote our Aurora by highlighting its significant history and culture, and by doing so, I can be able to tell the story of our beautiful past and [make] an important influence [on] what we are today. And I believe that [the] Pasidayaw Festival is all about giving, sharing, and appreciation.” Issa De Leon’s winning answer during the top 3 question and answer portion.

Meanwhile, Roldan articulated her vision for promoting the “muling pagsibol sa liwanag” in Aurora. She emphasized the significance of the Pasidayaw Festival, which signifies generosity and sharing blessings within the province. “And if I were to talk to a tourist, I would proudly share the culture and heritage of Aurora because I am proud to be an Auroranian.” expressed Roldan.

Congratulations, Binibinis! Indeed, ASCOTians excel not only in sports and academics but also in pageantry.
