ASCOT and DTI Aurora Collaborate for Sustainable Community Initiatives

Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT) and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Aurora formalized a partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) aimed at strengthening financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and community development initiatives in the province.
Signed by ASCOT President Dr. Renato G. Reyes and DTI Aurora Provincial Director Aldrin M. Veneracion on May 20, 2026, the partnership highlights inter-agency collaboration in delivering extension programs focused on financial education, livelihood development, business management, and capacity-building for communities, cooperatives, MSMEs, and local organizations.
Through its School of Accountancy and Business Management (SABM), ASCOT will facilitate the implementation of financial, business, and accounting-related extension programs by providing faculty, staff, and student volunteers as trainers, facilitators, and technical support.
Meanwhile, DTI Aurora will provide technical expertise, resource speakers, and assistance in program planning, linkages, and resource generation to help strengthen the reach and sustainability of the initiatives.
The agreement will remain effective for three years and reflects both institutions’ shared commitment to promoting entrepreneurship, financial literacy, good governance, and local industry development in Aurora
