December 20, 2024 – Aurora State College of Technology facilitated the distribution of stipends under the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES), and Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Plan Scholarship Program (CoScho).
70 ASCOT students received financial support:
•For CHED, TES recipients: 43 student received 20,000 pesos each.
•CoScho: 27 ASCOTiants to receive 70,000 pesos each for one academic year (2024-2025)
The CoScho program, designed to support the agriculture sector, provides a valuable opportunity for undergraduate students who are registered coconut farmers in the National Coconut Farmers Registry System (NCFRS) or their dependents. It extends its benefits to those studying agriculture, agricultural engineering, agribusiness management, agricultural economics, and other related programs.
Representing ASCOT President Dr. Renato G. Reyes, Prof. Oscar C. Barawid, Jr., Ph.D., delivered an inspiring message during his welcome remarks, underscoring the transformative impact of scholarship programs. He passionately reminded the scholars, “Dedicate yourself wholeheartedly to your studies and strive for excellence. Opportunities like these are not mere privileges—they are blessings meant to shape your future and empower you to make a difference.”
For ASCOT students pursuing these courses, these scholarships are more than just financial aid—they’re a lifeline. They help ease the burden of expenses, allowing students to focus on their studies and their dreams without constant worry.
