The event celebrated their commitment, passion, and readiness to embrace the mission of shaping the future through education.

The ceremony opened with a warm welcome from BSED Program Chair Nikita Paola Del Mundo. Representing Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Ma Luz Cabatan, Dr. Jocelyn H. Diaz shared an uplifting message, recognizing the challenges the students have faced while reminding them that determination and hard work are keys to success.

Dean of the School of Education, Dr. Rowel G. Olila, expressed great pride as he reflected on the students’ journeys. He highlighted the importance of the pins, describing them as symbols of responsibility, dedication, and the bright future ahead. “Teaching is not a science; it is an art. The teacher is the artist, the student, his masterpiece,” he said.

ASCOT President Dr. Renato G. Reyes spoke next, offering empowering words that celebrated the students’ progress.  “Sa ASCOT, hinuhubog natin ang mga may pangarap at binibigyan ng lakas ang mga nangangailangan. Kapag natapos na kayo, huwag titigil—ipagpatuloy ang inyong misyon na hubugin ang kabataan para maging matatag at produktibong mamamayan ng lipunan,” he remarked.

Guest speaker Ms. Marivic Farro, Principal II of Baler National High School, shared her own journey from student to educator. Her message resonated with the future teachers, exploring the theme of the ceremony:

Empowering Futures: “You are standing at the threshold of the profession that holds the power to empower.”

Sowing Seeds of Knowledge: “It requires patience, care, and dedication. Like a garden, some seeds will grow quickly, while others will take time.”

Igniting Potentials: “Kayo ang magsisilbing posporo na magsisindi ng apoy ng karunungan, abilidad at talento ng mga batang inyong kakalingain.”

She ended by reminding them: “As you wear your pin today, remember that it represents more than just your academic achievements—it represents your commitment to shaping the future and nurturing young minds.”

The pinning ceremony itself followed, along with a pre-service teacher orientation led by Dr. Jocelyn H. Diaz. PT President Kevin Ray B. Solomon officiated the Pledge and Candle Lighting Ceremony, further symbolizing the students’ dedication to their mission.

The event closed with inspiring words from BTLED Program Chair, Mr. Edmundo Y. David, Jr., leaving the students excited and ready to embrace the challenges of their profession with renewed purpose and passion.
