March 14-15, 2024- Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT) held a training seminar on Republic Act No. 9184, the Government Procurement Reform Act, and its 2016 Revised Implementing Rules and Regulations. Held on March 14–15, 2024, at ASCOT’s Accreditation Hall, Zabali Campus, the event aimed to enhance the procurement knowledge of ASCOT’s academic and administrative heads, as well as project leaders.

ASCOT President Renato G. Reyes emphasized the importance of proper fund utilization for effective teamwork during his address, stating, “Kailangan natin matutunan ang proseso ng sama-sama, para maging maayos ang trabaho natin. Gamitin natin nang tama ang pondo na binibigay sa atin.”

Led by resource speaker Ronnie L. Gutierrez, MPM, from the Government Procurement Policy Board Technical Staff Office, the seminar provided participants with practical insights and case studies to deepen their understanding of procurement principles and processes.

With a focus on procurement planning, budget linkage, and alternative procurement methods, the seminar equipped attendees with essential skills for transparent and efficient procurement practices. The initiative garnered positive feedback from participants, highlighting its value in promoting excellence in governance and administration within ASCOT.
