June 26, 2024 – the Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT) – Student Affairs Services (SAS) Office, in collaboration with the Land Transportation Office, Baler, facilitated the lecture on Education in Obtaining Driver’s License. The event was attended by ASCOT students.
In her opening remarks, Dr. Alma Bayudan, Director of SAS emphasized “Mahalaga ang pagkuha ng driver’s license. Ito ay isang paraan ng pagtupad natin sa batas. Alalahanin niyo na kapag mayroon kayong sasakyan at kayo ay nagmamaneho, importante na mayroon kayong lisensya, proteksyon natin ang pagkakaroon ng driver’s license.”
Following Dr. Bayudan’s speech, LTO Baler representatives Ms. Cora Dukha and Ms. Elysha Dumpit discussed the services provided by the LTO, focusing on the issuance of driver’s licenses. They explained the procedures for obtaining a license, including the necessary requirements and associated fees. Additionally, they reminded everyone of the fines and penalties for driving without a license.
After the lecture, an open forum was held, allowing participants to ask questions and engage directly with the facilitators about the topics discussed.
This lecture is crucial for ASCOT students, providing essential knowledge on road safety and legal compliance, and contributing to their personal development. By equipping students with the skills to obtain a driver’s license, ASCOT and its partners foster a culture of responsibility and safety, fundamental in today’s society.
