June 18, 2024 — Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT) proudly hosted its Recognition Ceremony for the School of Forestry and Environmental Sciences (SFES). Under the leadership of Dean RB J. Gallego, PhD, the ceremony celebrated 55 graduates from the Bachelor of Science in Forestry program and 107 from the Diploma in Forest Technology. The event also honored outstanding achievements, including Dean’s Listers and recipients of special awards.

The afternoon began with an inspiring message from Dean Gallego, who emphasized that “the true measure of success is your contribution to humanity.” His words set a reflective tone, urging graduates to consider the broader impact of their future careers.

Forester Michelle A. Resueno, a faculty member, also addressed the graduates, highlighting the vital role of parents in their academic journeys. She acknowledged the sacrifices of these families and their integral support in the graduates’ achievements.

A highlight of the ceremony was Ms. Aira Jean Duquesa Pimentel’s heartfelt address. Graduating Magna Cum Laude, she expressed deep gratitude and pride, stating, “Sa bawat pangarap na ating itinaguyod, huwag nating kalimutan ang ating mga pinagmulan at ang mga taong nagbigay sa atin ng inspirasyon. Ang tagumpay na ating makakamtan ay para rin sa kanila.”

Concluding the ceremony was Forester Maria Cristina B. Canada, a faculty member who expressed her gratitude to everyone in attendance, including the faculty and students. She extended her best wishes for good luck to everyone.
