July 18, 2024 — The ASCOT School of Education (SoED) celebrated its Recognition Day at Sentro Baler, in anticipation of the graduation ceremony at the Baler Convention Center in Barangay Reserva, Baler, Aurora on July 19. This event honored the academic achievements of graduating students and acknowledged those who supported them along the way.
Dr. Paul Alvin D. Facelo, an ASCOT alumnus who graduated Magna Cum Laude and now serves as an education specialist at the Schools Division Office of Aurora, delivered the keynote address. He encouraged the graduates with his message: “Saan man kayo magtungo, saan man kayo dalhin ng inyong mga pangarap, lagi ninyong bitbitin ang dangal at integridad na nakakabit sa pangalang ASCOT. Make our alma mater proud!”
The ceremony recognized 74 Cum Laude graduates and 2 Magna Cum Laude graduates out of 127 total.
Ms. Dianne Andrada Rutaquio, Magna Cum Laude in Bachelor of Secondary Education majoring in Filipino, delivered an inspiring speech. Tandaan nating lahat, magiging guro tayo.”
Ms. Lorie Mae T. Dizon, also Magna Cum Laude in Bachelor of Secondary Education majoring in Filipino, concluded the event with closing remarks. She reminisced about their journey from sleepless nights and pandemic challenges to their achievements today. She ended with a powerful quote: “If we want something, then we have to work for it. It is one of the great mantras to live by. Why? Because dreams without actions are fantasies and nothing worth having comes easy. It’s about putting in the effort.”
