August 27, 2024 – As August drew to a close, the Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT) community gathered for the flag ceremony after a refreshing holiday break. ASCOT President Dr. Renato G. Reyes reflected on the month’s achievements, expressing pride in the college’s progress.
Pres. Reyes commended the SCUFAR III delegation for their active participation and impressive results. He also celebrated ASCOT’s success in the recent PDRRMO Contest and highlighted the college’s impactful presentation of BOTON biopesticide technology at the National Agri-Aqua Innovation Pitch Fest 2024.
Key highlights included the launch of ASCOT’s new 3D printing services and the successful opening of the Wash N’ Go Laundry Shop, made possible by a DOLE livelihood grant. The National ROTC Games representative was also honored, reflecting ASCOT’s strong competitive spirit.
A standout moment was ASCOT’s receipt of the Dangal ng Wika at Kultura 2024 award from the Komisyon ng Wikang Filipino (KWF), honoring the college’s commitment to language and culture.
He ended with an inspiring message:
“Maraming nangyari na magaganda. Patuloy natin itong gawin. ‘Wag tayong magsasawa.” Pres. Reyes said.
He urged the community to continue striving for excellence, remain mindful of themselves and others, and embrace challenges with gratitude:
“Dito nagigising tayo para lalong magpursigi.”
As August concludes, ASCOT eagerly anticipates the exciting developments ahead.
