In alignment with the United Nation Sustainable Development Goal No.11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) in which clean surroundings contribute to creating safer and healthier community. The “Ating Paaralan: Linisin at Alagaan” project, spearheaded by the NSTP-CWTS School of Education, was an initiative aimed at providing students with a clean, healthy, and safe environment. This effort, held at the ASCOT General Education Building and its vicinity spanned from February to March 2024. The project was driven by the dedicated efforts of project leaders Krisselle Joy N. Tangalin, Ma. Luisa Jacinto, and Anjanette S. Miana, participated by all NSTP-CWTS 2 students.
The initiative was not just about cleaning; it was about fostering a sense of responsibility and community among students. The project had three main goals: promoting environmental sustainability within the school community, encouraging students to take care of their school surroundings, and maintaining a clean, healthy, and safe learning environment.
In February 2024, students began a series of clean-up drives to prepare for in-person classes, restoring classrooms with teamwork and dedication. A second drive in March 2024 extended efforts to maintain cleanliness across campus, fostering community spirit among students and teachers alike.
