Aurora State College of Technology hosted the recently conducted PC Recycling Seminar for Public High School teachers in the province, a component of the iSchools Project – a government funded initiative that seeks to bring computerization and ICT training into public high schools , under the Commission on Information and Communication Technology (CICT).

The selected project recipients were Aurora National High School, Canili Area National High School,Casiguran National High School, Dipaculao National High School, Maria Aurora National High School and Aurora State College of Technology .

The PC Recycling Training program aim to train enough members of the teaching staff from each participating high school to maintain,sustain and prolong the use of their computer laboratories.

The delegates under the tutelage of Resource Persons- Theody B. Sayco, Joey G. Fernando and Khavee Botongen from the Central Luzon State University received training in basic and intermediate computer concepts, including actual hands-on and laboratory activities, with focus on computer diagnostics and repair.

This 6-days training-workshop held last July 15-17 and July 29-31 hoped to realize maximization of the use of existing ICT equipment and minimize electronic waste.
