March 26, 2024 – ASCOT President Renato G. Reyes along with ASCOT staff, attended a meeting concerning the Study in the Philippines (Study in PH EduTourism) Program. Organized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) International Affairs Service, in partnership with the Provincial History, Arts, Culture, and Tourism Office (PHACTO) Bulacan and CHED Regional Office 3.

Officials from ASCOT, Bulacan Polytechnic College (BPC), Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU), and Mabalacat City College (MCC) were in attendance. The objective was to acquaint these institutions with the Study in the Philippines initiative and aid them in developing cohesive projects at the regional level.

The StudyPH Program is an education tourism initiative of the CHED IAS under its umbrella program “Building the Internationalization Competitiveness of Philippine Higher Education Program” that is funded by the Higher Education Development Fund (HEDF). It seeks to establish the Philippines as a center of quality higher education in identified niches/programs of excellence in ASEAN, and to establish Philippine higher education institutions both as study and tourism destinations.

Representatives from ASCOT were Joseph Gonzales, Arch. Kelvin Minoza, and Diana Rose de Mesa Amazona.
