With the theme, “Mainstreaming Climate Change Resilience: Strategies and Management in Agricultural and Food Systems in the New Normal,” the Aurora State College of Technology will host the National Scientific Congress of the International Society for Southeast Asian Agricultural Sciences (ISSAAS)-Philippine Chapter to be held virtually on October 13-14 this year.
Aiming to help address the need to transform to more sustainable food systems, given the new normal, primarily through engaging in knowledge sharing among agricultural researchers and scientists, as well as by fostering linkages and collaboration in the domains of agricultural research and development in the Philippines, the said congress will be inviting agricultural experts and speakers who will discuss topics including climate change and food production; food sustainability and the agricultural food chain; governance and the food system; and a responsible farming system, with Dr. Rex Victor O. Cruz from the College of Forestry and Natural Resources, University of the Philippines, Los Banos.
