Six student leaders from the different Department of the College participated in the two-day WEmboree,a Disaster Resiliency Camp held last July 2-3, 2015 at the Philippine Army Headquarters, Sitio Setan, Brgy. Calabuanan, Baler, Aurora.
WEmboree is a gathering of young people from different communities, academic institution and organizations under the Disaster Preparedness Movement or Operation Listo advocated by the Department of Interior and Local Government in partnership with the Provincial Government of Aurora and other concern agencies.
ASCOT participants, John Michael Bulado(BSA), Rovel De Campo(BSA), Michael Dave Padilla(BSA), Christopher Basada(BSED), Alvin Guray(BSED) and Angelo Gonzales(BSIT) joined the other participants in celebrating the goal of changing the mindset from ME to We in a series of activities in Disaster Response, Resource Mobilization,
Rehabilitation and Recovery and Creative Messaging led by the PNP,BFP, Red Cross, Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office and DILG Provincial Office.
The activity’s main objective is to promote and recognize the very essence of strong camaraderie among Youth Volunteers to become partners in Local Government initiatives in addressing the challenges of disaster reduction.
