The Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT) recently hosted a seminar-workshop titled “Timpuyog: Animating Local Traditions through Performance” as part of the National Arts Month celebration.

Held at the ASCOT Accreditation Hall on February 16-17, the event brought together writers and performers to explore the rich cultural heritage of the Philippines.

Spearheaded by the Socio-cultural Affairs Unit and in collaboration with the National Commission of Culture and the Arts (NCCA), the workshop aimed to nurture cultural and narrative performances.

Keynote speakers Mr. Jess Allaga Montajes and Mr. Ian Jay Formacion shared insights on the significance of culture and narrative performance.

ASCOT President Dr. Renato G. Reyes expressed strong support for the event’s mission.

The participation of SEA International Exchange students from Central Luzon State University added a unique dimension, fostering cultural exchange and understanding.
