The Research and Development Services Office (RSDO) headed by their Director, Ms. Maria Cristina Cañada, facilitated a two-day training-workshop on research proposal writing held at Accreditation Room, General Education Building, ASCOT Zabali Campus, Baler, Aurora last February 20-21, 2020. It was participated by twenty-five (25) faculties from different academic programs of ASCOT. This activity aims to enhanced the capacity of faculty researchers on crafting research proposals and to promote and strengthen collaboration among other departments in writing research proposals.
During the seminar, participants were taught on how to write the research introduction, review of related literatures, conceptual and theoretical framework, and the research methodology. The lecturers are Dr. Renita SM. Dela Cruz, retired Chief Science Research Specialist and Career Scientist I from Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization, and Dr. Jonathan L. Galindez, Director of Ramon Magsaysay Center for Agricultural Resources and Environment Studies (RM CARES). After all the lectures, participants were given a writeshop and selected participants were asked to present their outputs.
With this training, RSDO is expecting to receive more research proposals ready for presentation on the 2020 In-House Review of Research and Development Proposals. – Rona Jane Cacanindin
