Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT) President Renato G. Reyes accepted a grant from the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) amounting to Php 1,103,311.00 for the GIA Project named “AZURE: Aurora-Zambales Start-Up REadiness., February 27, 2024.

“Binigyan tayo ng pondo ng gobyerno. Kailangan natin itong gastusin ng maayos.” President Reyes announced during the academic and administrative joint meeting.

The AZURE Project aims to establish provincial innovation spaces within Central Luzon, specifically targeting the provinces of Aurora and Zambales. These innovation hubs will serve as nurturing grounds for startup ventures and to guide and inspire potential entrepreneurs, innovators, and technology enthusiasts.

Present during the awarding of checks were ASCOT key officials headed by President Renato G. Reyes, Acting VPAA Dr. Ma Luz F. Cabatan, Acting Director for Research, Dr. Alking Gorospe, and Legal Officer Atty. Karl Thomas Olivar. Provincial Director, Provincial Science and Technology Office, Maricel M. Sicat, was accompanied by Maria Ana A. Espiritu, SSRS.
