May 29, 2024 – The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Region III awarded the Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT) with a Certificate of Recognition for its commendable contribution to providing quality tertiary education to Indigenous Peoples (IP) in the Province of Aurora. This recognition was conferred during the commemoration of CHED’s 30th Founding Anniversary and 4th Higher Education Day, themed “Transformative and Resilient Philippine Higher Education,” held at Pampanga State Agricultural University in Magalang, Pampanga.
The event served as a celebration of the role of higher educational institutions in shaping the nation’s future.
Eight ASCOT IP Student Scholars graced the event, showcasing the cultural richness of Aurora through performances of indigenous dances from their respective local groups.
