Aiming to build a stronger foundation as a stepping stone to achieve university status and to bring more quality education to its students, the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) confirmed its certification to the College as the only educational institution in the province so far to become ISO certified in a virtual awarding held, December 23, 2020.
The College officials lead by the College President – Dr. Eutiquio L. Rotaquio, Jr., and Forester Michelle A. Resueno, Vice President for Planning and Finance together with Mrs. Annie R. Capin, Quality Assurance Director received the award from the ISO representatives.
Dr. Rotaquio said that this certification was an early Christmas gift not only for the College’s administrators but also for the students and the whole ASCOT community as well.
The College President also expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the key persons, faculty members, and staff who exerted so much time and effort to achieve this certification especially to Mrs. Capin, Director of the College’s Quality Assurance Department who lead, prepared, and worked really hard beginning from the College’s Level II Accreditation last December 7 to 11 until the ISO certification weeks later.
“Malaking tulong po ito sa aming aim for universityhood”, Dr. Rotaquio added; stressing the significance of this certification in the ASCOT’s vision to become a globally-recognized scientific and technological university in the future.
As a result, the College started to use the ISO format of letterheads in communication letters, labels, markings, uniforms, and other College identities to make it uniform. These steps were just some of the preliminaries implemented by the College in accordance with the ISO standards.
ISO gives guidelines and standards for the improvement of any organization looking to provide products and services that consistently meet the requirements and expectations of customers and other relevant interested parties in the most efficient manner possible.
