Resueño, NSTP Facilitator, represented the College in the 14th National Congress of Philippine Society of NSTP Educators and Implementers held last February 24-26, 2016 at the Phela Grand Hotel and Convention Center, General Santos City.

The Hon. Pedro B. Acharon, Jr. Congressman, 1st District of South Cotabato addressed this year’s theme, “Crystallizing Prospects for Relevant NSTP and Functional NSRC towards Resilience Communities”.

The Congress aims to fortify synergy and strategy in the implementation of NSTP and NSRC through formulating programs for relevant NSTP and functional NSRC and to intensify the commitment of NSTP and NSRC implementers in amplifying and channeling efforts consistent with OBE curricular program and responsive community NSRC units in keeping with the disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation thrusts and educational reforms in the country.

The plenary sessions provided diverse and productive ideas that addressed the issues and concerns regarding the NSTP Common modules to suit the outcome-based approach, and the formulation of training programs for NSTP reservists and NSRC trainers for establishing resilient communities in an attempt for a disaster and climate proof country.
