Atty. Raquel R. Dujunco, CPA, Dean of ASCOT’s School of Accountancy and Business Management, and Chrystal Faye V. Salazar, CPA, ASCOT’s Budget Officer III and Program Chairperson for the Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, have received accreditation from the Professional Regulations Commission (PRC) Board of Accountancy (BOA) as Accounting Teachers.
With their new PRC-BOA accreditation, they are prepared to enhance the standard of accounting education at ASCOT, ensuring students receive exceptional education and training for their careers in accounting. This accreditation is also one of the requirements by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) for ASCOT to earn the Certificate of Compliance (COPC). Based on the preliminary assessment report by the RQAT-III and TD, ASCOT is deemed ready and capable to offer the BS in Accountancy Program for AY 2023-2024. The college has two years to secure the COPC for the program upon full compliance with CHED’s minimum requirements.
**The PRC Board of Accountancy, a regulatory body under the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), oversees the practice of accountancy in the Philippines. It regulates CPAs, administers licensure exams, sets education standards, and enforces practice regulations.
