September 21, 2023 – Dr. Riosahlie Y. Madrid, also known as “Doc Rio,” has been honored with the prestigious Civil Service Commission (CSC) 2023 Dangal ng Bayan Regional Award during the recent Honor Awards Program (HAP) Regional Recognition Rites held at the Widus Hotel Clark Freeport in Pampanga.

Doc Rio, an Instructor I at ASCOT’s School of Agriculture and Aquatic Sciences, received recognition for “consistently demonstrating exemplary ethical behavior in accordance with Republic Act No. 6713, also known as the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees.”

Her contributions extend beyond the classroom as she also serves as the Director of External Affairs, Internationalization, and Alumni Office at ASCOT. Her dedication encompasses teaching animal science, leading the Livestock and Small Ruminant Project, collaborating with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and the National Dairy Authority (NDA), and establishing a Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with international training agencies.

“First of all, I would like to thank the ASCOT PRAISE COMMITTEE for evaluating me as the ASCOT Best Employee for 2022. I am honored and blessed to be one of the Dangal ng Bayan awardees in the region. I also would like to thank my co-employees and friends for their guidance and advice. This award became a reality only because of the inspirational experiences you shared with me. Furthermore, without ASCOT, I would not be standing here today and receiving this award. This award will always be dear to me. It will always be a reminder of the hard work and sacrifice. Moreover, this award will motivate me to achieve more success in the future. To God be the glory!” said Doc Rio through facebook messenger.
