Nacino as the new Director of the Aurora Studies Center, a research hub dedicated to the preservation and promotion of Aurora Province’s rich cultural heritage. As a key initiative within ASCOT’s School of Arts and Sciences, the Aurora Studies Center aims to safeguard and celebrate the province’s history, arts, and traditions while embracing advancements in science and technology.
 
The Center will feature innovative facilities, including a Cultural Mapping Lab, Living Traditions Lab, and a museum, designed to preserve and share Aurora’s cultural treasures with the ASCOT community and the province’s residents. Ms. Nacino envisions an inclusive approach to heritage preservation, ensuring that communities are active participants in the journey.
 
Reflecting on her new role, Ms. Nacino shared, “Binubuo namin ang iba’t ibang sangay ng ASC mula sa aming pagkilala sa kahalagahan at ugnayan ng kasaysayan, kultura, at pagbabagong panlipunan. Sa bawat hakbang, isinasaalang-alang namin ang partisipasyon ng mga komunidad dahil ang kaalaman, lalo na sa pagpapayaman ng kultura, ay hindi lamang para sa akademya kundi para sa lahat.” She continued, “Nilalayon ng ASC na makipagtulungan sa iba’t ibang indibidwal at ahensya upang maidokumento at makapagsaliksik tungkol sa ating mga tradisyon at kultura. Hinihikayat din ng ating bahay-saliksikan ang mga inobasyong makatutulong sa pagpapayabong at preserbasyon ng mga likas na yaman ng Aurora at tradisyonal na kaalaman bilang bahagi ng ating pamanang kultural. Inaasahan namin ang patuloy na suporta ng ASCOT at iba pang mga ahensya tungo sa tagumpay ng ating mga layunin.”
Supporting Ms. Nacino in her mission is a skilled team of ASCOT faculty and staff, including Ms. Malou C. Angara (Head of Instruction), Ms. Amparo A. Espinosa (Head of Extension), Ms. Rona N. Cacanindin (Head of Research), Mr. Emil Noveno, Mr. John Aldwin Olivar, and Ms. Kimberley Macalood.
 
With Ms. Nacino at the helm, ASCOT looks forward to strengthening the role of the Aurora Studies Center in promoting cultural awareness and ensuring the preservation of Aurora’s identity for future generations.
