May 24, 2024 – Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT) convened esteemed guests, SUC III presidents, regional directors, faculty, and community leaders for an unforgettable Meet and Greet Gala, highlighted by a Unity Toast for Peace and Prosperity.
ASCOT President Renato Reyes, joined by a distinguished lineup of leaders including CHED III Director Lora L. Yusi, ASCOT BOT Members, Engr. Oscar S. Barawid, Dr. Ma Luz F. Cabatan, Congressman Joseph Gilbert F. Violago, Atty. Lily Freida Milla of CHED IAS, Dr. Junel Soriano of DA BAR, Dr. Fumio Eguchi of Tokyo University of Agriculture, Mr. Matsuda of the Embassy of Japan, Mr. Julio Amador of PAEF-Fulbright, Dr. Khin Mar Cho of Cornell University, and Past ASCOT Presidents, gathered to raise their glasses.
In a poignant gesture, the Unity Toast commemorated the values championed by Dr. Reyes: The D.R.E.A.M. – Dependability, Responsiveness, Empathy, Adaptability, and Mindfulness. These principles embody ASCOT’s mission, reflecting the event’s theme “ASCOT to the World, ASCOT in the World, ASCOT for the World.”
Prior to the toast, President Reyes presented a plaque of recognition to the former Presidents of ASCOT, acknowledging their invaluable contributions and exemplary performance driven by noble legacies, advocacies, and works in higher education.
As ASCOT strives to make a positive impact locally, regionally, and globally, these values serve as guiding beacons. With united hearts and these principles guiding their path, the community raised their glasses to a shared vision of peace, prosperity, and boundless opportunities for ASCOT and beyond.
