ASCOT Makes History: Securing 2nd Place Victory in GIS Category at the 14th National Forestry Olympiad!

Congratulations to the Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT) School of Forestry and Environmental Sciences (SFES) for garnering 2nd place at the 14th National Forestry Olympiad in the Geographic Information System Category. Held from February 25 to March 1, 2024 at UPLB, College of Forestry and Natural Resources (CFNR) campus.

Kudos to Aira Jean Pimentel, Amie Ruth Catalan, Daphne Pimentel, and Kayrlle Pascua for their outstanding performance!
Congratulations also go to the coach and trainer, Mark John Suniega.

Dr. RB J. Gallego, Dean of the School of Forestry and Environmental Sciences, wrote in his Facebook post, “Ito talaga ang hinahanap now sa isang Forestry Graduate. Kaya masaya ako na, you made it on top. Congratulations!”

Former ASCOT President, Dr. Eutiqiuo Rotaquio, Jr., also shared his message: “Congratulations, ASCOT Forestry students, for securing 2nd place in the GIS Competition at the National Forestry Olympiad. Now we can see the fruits of having the GIS Lab that we initiated.”

Once again, congratulations! You put ASCOT on the map of the National Forestry Olympiad.
