June 10, 2024 – In alignment with Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education), ASCOT launched its 2024 Engineering Bridging Program, a key initiative to prepare incoming engineering students for their academic journey. Spearheaded by the ASCOT School of Engineering, the orientation event welcomed a new cohort of aspiring engineers.

This bridging program is an extension activity aimed at equipping Senior High School students with fundamental engineering knowledge, setting a solid foundation for those planning to pursue engineering degrees.

ASCOT President Renato G. Reyes highlighted the program’s significance in his inspirational address. He emphasized that the program is designed to assess and prepare students for the rigors of engineering education, encouraging them to strive for high academic performance, graduate as licensed engineers, and seize future opportunities. “Inihahanda kayo ng programang ito para makita ang inyong future sa larangan ng engineering. Kapag nandito na kayo sa ASCOT, ang pakiusap ko lamang ay ayusin ang inyong pag-aaral, magkaroon ng mataas na marka, maka-graduate at maging licensed engineer, at magkaroon ng magagandang oportunidad sa hinaharap,” he said

Engr. Noel A. Manzano, Instructor I, provided a detailed overview of the Bridging Program, discussing its objectives, structure, subject offerings, and the advantages it offers to participants.

An open forum followed, allowing attendees to ask questions and exchange ideas, further clarifying their understanding of the program.

The activity is one of ASCOT’s commitment to providing quality education and supporting future engineers in achieving their academic and professional goals.
