July 1, 2024 – ASCOT participated in the commemorative program for the 126th Siege of Baler and the 22nd Philippine – Spanish Friendship Day at Baler Municipal Plaza. ASCOT President Dr. Renato G. Reyes, along with Vice President for Administration, Planning, and Finance Engr. Oscar C. Barawid,PhD, Dean of the School of Forestry and Environmental Sciences Dr. RB J. Gallego, unit heads, directors, and other faculty and staff attended the event at Baler Municipal Plaza.

Some dignitaries and key public officials present included Senator Juan Edgardo “Sonny” M. Angara,Senator Sherwin “Win” Ting Gatchalian, Senator Juan Miguel “Migz” F. Zubiri, Congressman Rommel Rico T. Angara, Mayor Rhett Ronan T. Angara, National Historical Commission Chairperson Ms. Lisa Guerrero Nakpil, and H.E. Miguel Utray Delgado from the Embassy of the Kingdom of Spain in the Philippines.

ASCOT actively participated in the celebrations by hosting the AYOS-A event (June 28-30, 2024) and offering expertise in the cultural presentation “El Amor Perdura (June 30).” Directed by Joshua Dela Cruz and the ASCOT production team, the presentation featured performances by ASCOT Sindayaw.
