August 28, 2024 – Aurora State College of Technology joins the celebration of the 38th National Coconut Week in support with the lively “Simultaneous Coconut Planting Activity” at Sitio Diabuyo, Brgy. Ditumabo, San Luis, Aurora.
 
The Philippine Coconut Authority led the event, embracing the theme “Paghubog sa Pilipinong Magniniyog, Daan sa Pag-angat ng Ekonomiya at Maunlad na Bagong Pilipinas.”
 
Atty. Karl Thomas M. Olivar, ASCOT’s Legal Officer, joined the event on behalf of ASCOT President Dr. Renato G. Reyes. He shared ASCOT’s full support for community projects, saying, “Kami po sa ASCOT ay buong pusong nakikiisa sa inyo sa pagpapaunlad ng gawain na may involvement po ang pagniniyugan.”
 
Everyone participated in a ceremonial toast, which was a great way to show our united commitment to the coconut industry’s growth and sustainability. After the toast, officials and participants signed a commitment document, symbolizing our collective pledge to support the sector’s development.
 
Mr. Juan F. Milar, Jr. from PCA-Aurora expressed his gratitude, noting President Ferdinand E. Marcos Jr.’s goal of planting 100,000 coconut trees. He highlighted the success of the event, which brought together uniformed services, civilians, and academics in a shared effort.
