The ASCOT-IIEE team went home triumphantly from the recently concluded 9th Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers of the Philippines-Council of Student Chapters (IIEE-CSC) Regional Student Conference. The ASCOT Team composed of Ross Frederick Castroverde, Jansen Baldopeña, Lhor King Decano, June Cyrel Simon and Miracle Joy Monje won the championship in the Regional EE Math Wizard. The team is now preparing for the 38th Annual National Convention on November 29, 2013 to be held at the SM Mall of Asia-SMX, Pasay City.

The event, which annually gathers all electrical engineering students in the region, was held at the University of Pangasinan last September 5-7, 2013 with this year’s theme, “Leading the Electrical Practitioners Towards Global Recognition”. Different activities such as the Regional Quiz Show, Regional EE Math Wizard, Regional Student Congress and Technical Seminars were joined and participated by the Electrical Engineering students from the different State Universities and Colleges in the Region including ASCOT. Such activity aims to uplift the standards of electrical engineering education in the country by promoting a healthy competition among student members.
