May be an image of 8 people, people studying and textSeptember 23-24, 2024- The Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT) held a two-day workshop, aimed at refining the institution’s Land Use Development and Infrastructure Plan (LUDIP), at ASCOT R&D Building, Zabali Campus, Baler. The workshop brought together experts and members of ASCOT’s LUDIP Technical Working Group (TWG) to improve infrastructure strategies and planning.
 
Engr. Oscar C. Barawid, Jr., PhD, Vice President for Administration, Planning, and Finance, opened the event with welcoming remarks, followed by an inspirational message from ASCOT President Dr. Renato G. Reyes, who emphasized the workshop’s role in shaping ASCOT’s future.
 
Experts from Central Luzon State University, including Dr. Shirley Cortez-Serrano, Engr. Emman A. Ramos, and Prof. Robert D. Pelayo, guided the discussions and provided insights on land use planning and infrastructure development. The workshop covered key topics such as Republic Act 11396, which mandates state universities and colleges to formulate their LUDIPs.
 
The event featured an analysis of ASCOT’s current LUDIP, site visits to the Bazal Campus and Ermita Hill, and an interactive Q&A session to finalize proposed revisions. The workshop marked a step toward aligning ASCOT’s infrastructure projects with sustainable development goals and addressing the needs of its growing population.
