It was a night of performances and fresh faces, as the ASCOT Aquaintance Party 2013 took place last Saturday, July 6, 2013 at Sentro Baler, Baler, Aurora.

The program was divided into four parts. The first part was the presentation and oath taking ceremony of different officials from the Supreme College Student Council (SCSC), classroom and student organizations, which was led by Ms. Vicky N. Ramelo, SCSC President and Dr. Eusebio V. Angara, College President, respectively.

Then came the second part of the program which was dedicated especially to the freshman students. Cheers and yells echoed inside Sentro Baler as all were excited to see the freshman representatives from different departments walked on stage and competed for the coveted title of Mr. and Ms. Acquaintance 2013. Like models in a catwalk, the candidates paraded their casual and formal attires on the stage.

Everyone was fired up and excited to know the winners of the search but in the end, Mr. Engineering, Marc Arthur Querijero and Ms. Forestry, Francia Olaget were hailed Mr. and Ms. Acquaintance 2013.

The third part of the program was all about talent, as the students from the different departments performed. From dancing to singing, it was evident that ASCOT students excel not only in academics but in performing arts as well. However, there could only be one winner. With great passion and outstanding vocals, the Engineering department defeated the other departments and was announced winners of the competition.

Before the 2013 Acquaintance party ended, all students, staffs, faculty and officers were up in their seats as they danced their ways onto the dance floor and partied all night.(KTOlivar)
