The initiative aims to reduce operational costs and promote sustainability, supporting SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) and SDG 13 (Climate Action).

Solar panels were installed on key campus buildings, including administration, general education, and engineering, starting in early October. The project is expected to cut electricity consumption and expenses, demonstrating ASCOT’s commitment to sustainability amid reduced budget allocations.

“This project aligns with our vision for a smart green campus and equips our students to be environmental stewards,” said ASCOT President Dr. Renato G. Reyes.

The solar energy system is set to be fully operational by the end of the month.
