Our ASCOT- SINDAYAW Adviser, Sir James Matthew Viernes, and SINDAYAW Alumna Dance Master, Katherine Fuentes, joined us for Episode 19: Sining, Dangal at Sayaw!
Our guests recounted how it all started: SINDAYAW was founded in 2018 on the need to have ASCOT students represent the college at various cultural events and competitions, especially in the region. They have accomplished a lot since then, including winning the CAASUC III competition and putting on their first concert, PAGSIBOL, in 2020. The students sang, danced, wrote poems and scripts, and played instruments at the concert.
Meanwhile, ASCOT ‘TO hosts Ma’am Diana and Sir EJ learned one of Dance Master Kat’s favorite dance positions, the 4th position.
This year, SINDAYAW is accepting applications, and anyone interested is welcome. The online application form can be accessed at this Google link: https://bit.ly/SindayawApplication
